Engagement

Engagements follow a fixed sequence, and nothing begins until it is in writing. The sequence exists for the same reason our deliverables cite enacted law: certainty about what was undertaken, by whom, and on what terms.

  1. Inquiry. You describe the matter and the governing state. The inquiry itself is informational and creates no engagement, no advisory relationship, and no obligation on either side.
  2. Conflict and scope review. We confirm the matter is one the firm can take, define the deliverable, and state the fee. Corvus accepts or declines every inquiry in its own discretion.
  3. Written service agreement. Scope, exclusions, deliverables, timeline, and fees live in one executed document. No site content or conversation modifies it.
  4. Delivery and closure. The work issues as a dated, versioned instrument or memorandum. Confidentiality is kept to the standard of a family office, and it survives the engagement.

Clients in every state. Matters are analyzed under the law of the state that governs the instrument, not the state where the firm sits.
